The
meeting focused on enhancing coordination among petrochemical industry players.
It was
decided that a portion of the domestic demand for petrochemical products used
as raw materials in downstream industries will be met through imports.
Furthermore,
to support these industries, a dedicated task force will be formed. This group,
comprising representatives from the Central Bank of Iran, the Ministry of
Industry, Mine, and Trade, the National Petrochemical Company, and the Petrochemical
Industry Employers’ Association, will aim to streamline the import process.
The
capabilities of petrochemical companies will be utilized to meet domestic needs
through imports.
The
working group, led by the NPC, will continue to hold regular sessions to
monitor the progress of fulfilling domestic supply requirements.
