Accompanied by Bushehr Governor Arsalan Zare and top regional
officials, Abbaszadeh, who also serves as CEO of the National Petrochemical
Company (NPC), toured major petrochemical complexes and infrastructure sites on
Wednesday, July 23. The visit culminated in a strategic meeting aimed at
tackling persistent sectoral challenges.
Held under the theme of "Petrochemical Challenges and Balanced
Regional Development," the session brought together plant managers,
provincial directors, and representatives from the Pars Special Economic Energy
Zone. Discussions covered critical topics such as infrastructure gaps, energy
security, logistics, human resources, and environmental compliance.
Both Abbaszadeh and Governor Zare stressed the strategic role of the
petrochemical industry in Bushehr’s economy and issued directives to accelerate
inter-sectoral coordination, resolve bottlenecks, and promote the development
of downstream value chains to reduce raw material exports.
The visit concluded with an assessment of the complexes’ emergency
preparedness, where officials issued instructions to enhance crisis response
capabilities and ensure operational continuity in the event of disruptions.
