Dražen Mirković, a senior executive at Serbia’s Pyramida company, told
NIPNA on Wednesday that his firm is seeking new partners to meet its
polypropylene needs, identifying the Iranian market as a promising option.
“We are here to explore the capabilities of Iran’s petrochemical
sector and to initiate discussions with Iranian counterparts about polymer
products,” he said on the sidelines of the 7th Iran Expo.
Mirković emphasized that his company is actively looking to procure
polypropylene, the key raw material for its manufacturing operations. “We plan
to hold several meetings with local producers and suppliers in the coming
days,” he added.
This marks Pyramida’s first participation in the Iran Expo, with
Mirković expressing optimism about future collaborations. “We see this as a
major opportunity and that’s why I came to Tehran,” he noted.
The 7th Iran Expo officially opened on Monday, drawing political and
business delegations from 111 countries, including 190 high-ranking officials
and over 3,100 foreign trade representatives.
More than 1,000 Iranian companies are showcasing their export
capabilities at the event, which runs through May 2 at Tehran’s International
Permanent Fairground. The exhibition is organized to promote Iran’s export
potential across a range of goods and technical services.
Iran’s petrochemical sector is featuring prominently in the expo, with
key offerings in methanol, urea, chemicals, and polymers.
