Iran Aims to Enhance HSE Standards in Petchem Industry in Assaluyeh

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran’s Deputy Petroleum Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has emphasized the importance of establishing a centralized Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) structure in Assaluyeh to protect human capital, safeguard the environment, and secure critical petrochemical infrastructure.

Hassan Abbaszadeh made the remarks during a meeting focused on addressing HSE challenges and improvement strategies for petrochemical companies in the Pars Special Economic Zone (Assaluyeh). The session, hosted by NPC, brought together HSE managers from Assaluyeh’s petrochemical firms and the region’s emergency management officials.

The discussions outlined key objectives for a unified HSE framework to ensure standardized policies and integrated management across the region’s petrochemical sector. Abbaszadeh stressed the need to implement solutions to enhance safety and environmental standards, reaffirming NPC’s commitment to improving HSE performance in the industry.
