Speaking at the gathering, which coincided with the celebrations of
the Islamic Revolution's anniversary and Sha'ban festivities, Abbaszadeh
emphasized the pivotal role of NPC employees in realizing the objectives of
Iran’s Seventh Development Plan.
“In line with the mandated goals of the Seventh Development Plan, we
must focus on reducing crude exports and advancing the petrochemical value
chain,” he said. Abbaszadeh reiterated NPC’s commitment as the industry's
policymaker and steward to mobilize all available resources in pursuit of these
goals.
Advancing the Value Chain
Highlighting key areas for growth, Abbaszadeh pointed to the completion
of value chains in propylene, methanol, ethylene, and ammonia production.
“These initiatives will create greater value-added opportunities and drive
balanced development across the sector,” he said. “Diversifying production can
also help unlock new export markets.”
He also addressed the critical issue of feedstock security, noting
ongoing efforts to capture associated gas and eliminate flaring by
petrochemical holding companies. “These measures will boost feedstock
availability for petrochemical complexes,” he added.
Focus on Talent Development
Abbaszadeh stressed the importance of succession planning and
cultivating competent leadership within NPC. “Professional qualifications for
managers and fostering an environment for the growth of skilled and efficient
leaders are being pursued with determination,” he remarked.
Engagement with Staff
During the meeting, NPC's HR Manager Reza Khalaj and Finance Deputy
Ahmadreza Eshraghi presented updates on departmental programs and addressed
employee inquiries. Staff members also shared their perspectives and
suggestions for improving operations.
The event highlighted NPC’s commitment to aligning its workforce with
the broader vision of advancing Iran's petrochemical industry while ensuring
sustainable growth and market expansion.
