TEHRAN (NIPNA) - Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) is set to finalize a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management framework aimed at fostering synergy among petrochemical holdings and companies for sustainable development in the sector.

Davood Emadi, NPC’s HSE director, announced the initiative during a meeting with HSE managers from petrochemical holdings on Sunday. He emphasized the need for enhanced cooperation and interaction among industry players to ensure sustainable growth and value creation in the petrochemical sector.

"Despite the privatization of the petrochemical industry under Article 44 of the Constitution, HSE units have demonstrated strong performance over the years," Emadi noted.

As a specialized parent company and regulatory body, NPC is committed to supporting petrochemical holdings and companies in this direction, Emadi added.

He called for an elevation of the status and structure of HSE units across petrochemical projects and facilities. "Developing the necessary infrastructure and ensuring compliance with the mandated standards and requirements must remain a top priority," he stated.

The meeting also featured reports and discussions from HSE managers, who shared their insights and updates on various HSE-related initiatives and challenges within the sector.

The HSE management framework is expected to play a pivotal role in aligning efforts across the industry, emphasizing sustainability and adherence to environmental and safety standards.
