During a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU)
between the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and Zagros Petrochemical
Company, Didari thanked NPC for leading this initiative and praised the efforts
of the National Gas Company (NGC), which currently produces over 850 million
cubic meters of sweet gas daily. He acknowledged the exceptional work of NGC
staff but also highlighted ongoing supply imbalances within the petrochemical
industry and other sectors.
Didari emphasized the need for cultural change and public awareness
regarding the significant impact of energy conservation on the country's
industry and economy. Since the beginning of this year, the petrochemical
industry has transferred around $8 billion to the NIMA system, which is used to
meet the nation’s needs.
The CEO further urged the public to assist in achieving the 10%
reduction target, noting that a reduction of 60 million cubic meters of gas per
day would significantly benefit the industry. This amount of saved gas would
enable the petrochemical industry to enter a cycle of sustainable production,
contributing to the nation's foreign exchange earnings and economic growth.
