During an inspection of
Damavand Energy Assaluyeh, HSE&PD Director Davoud Emadi highlighted that
enhancing fire safety measures and establishing a reliable firewater network in
Phase II of the Pars Special Economic Zone is crucial, given the area’s dense
infrastructure and extensive storage facilities.
Emadi emphasized that
boosting this network is a key priority for NPC’s HSE management, particularly
as high-capacity tanks and critical locations have already been identified for
safety improvements.
"Damavand Energy
Assaluyeh is a cornerstone of the region’s petrochemical sector," said
Emadi.
“As a utility provider,
it plays a vital role in safeguarding operational safety and environmental
standards for companies in Phase II. Through its proactive measures, Damavand
Energy has bolstered the region’s safety and environmental conditions."
Emadi described the
completion of Phase II's firewater ring as both a critical requirement of NPC
and a core responsibility for Damavand Energy in the area.
"With the activation
of Pump Station No. 4, now integrated into the firewater ring thanks to
round-the-clock efforts of local specialists and Damavand personnel, many
complexes in Phase II now have dual access points to the network, significantly
enhancing safety and readiness across the zone."
Pump Station No. 4 has a
capacity of 6,600 cubic meters per hour and includes two 29,000-cubic-meter
tanks, two jockey pumps, three electric pumps, and six diesel pumps. It is
designed to supply firewater to southeastern petrochemical complexes within Phase
II.
