Speaking on the sidelines of the 22nd Vietnam Plastics and Rubber
Industry Exhibition, Nazari emphasized the high demand in Vietnam's polymer and
plastic sectors. "Vietnam is eager to welcome strong Iranian
companies," he stated, adding that the market had previously been
dominated by traders from another regional country, who sold products at
elevated prices.
Nazari highlighted that Iranian companies can offer competitive
pricing with products of similar or better quality, positioning themselves to
gain a foothold in Vietnam’s market. This, he said, is supported by the
enthusiasm of key economic sectors in Vietnam, particularly those visiting the
exhibition’s Iranian booths.
Among the prominent visitors were members of the Vietnam Plastics
Association, which represents 3,000 companies, as well as executives from major
local producers and distributors.
Vietnam, which has seen 15-20% growth in its polymer and plastic
industries, boasts 4,200 plastic and rubber processing units, with 2,800
concentrated in the industrial hub of Ho Chi Minh City. The presence of
Petrolimex, Vietnam’s largest importer of chemicals and petrochemical products,
at the exhibition further underscores the country's openness to Iranian
participation.
Nazari also reported that the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce has shown
strong interest in expanding ties with Iranian manufacturers, suggesting that
Iranian companies could soon capture a significant share of Vietnam’s rapidly
growing market.
