Speaking on Tuesday, Abbaszadeh highlighted the priority of
the Ministry of Petroleum in ensuring the timely execution of key projects
within the petrochemical sector.
During a meeting with Gholamreza Dehghan Nasrabadi,
representative of Kazeroon and a member of the Parliament's Energy Committee,
Abbaszadeh underscored the importance of completing these projects before the
end of Iran’s Seventh Development Plan.
"Timely completion of these projects will lead to
higher production of petrochemical products, add more value, and improve the
country’s trade balance," he stated.
He also emphasized that addressing financial and
infrastructural obstacles, attracting investment, and supporting the private
sector are crucial for accelerating the progress of these projects.
"The NPC is fully committed to supporting regional
projects and removing barriers to ensure the effective development of the
petrochemical value chain," Abbaszadeh added.
Abbaszadeh further announced that specialized meetings will
be held in the coming weeks to tackle issues delaying the construction of
petrochemical projects, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between
Parliament, local authorities, and petrochemical holding companies to expedite
these efforts.
