Speaking at the Second Process Safety Management Conference held at
the National Iranian Oil Company's conference center, Emadi elaborated on the
process for the event, stating that the National Petrochemical Company, on
behalf of the Ministry of Oil's HSE department, initiated the formation of a
committee to organize the conference and issued a call for participation to
four subsidiary companies earlier this year. The goal was to report actions
aligned with the establishment of process safety through self-assessment.
Emadi noted that 80 self-assessment forms were submitted by 31
participating companies. These submissions were categorized into four main
sections of process safety management, with 15 actions initially selected for
presentation at the conference.
In the second phase, a field review of the self-assessment forms was
conducted to identify the most effective practices, resulting in seven actions
being recognized as best practices for final presentation at the conference.
Emadi expressed optimism that participation from the subsidiary companies of
the four main oil companies would be significantly enhanced in next year's
event, and he anticipates a maximum turnout.
He concluded by emphasizing the conference's aim to promote the
implementation of process safety management systems, aligning the companies'
efforts with sustainable and safe production practices.
