Behdad Ansari, CEO of Badr Shargh Petrochemical Plant, announced that
the construction of crucial components and systems for the methanol unit has
been completed abroad, and the shipment process will soon begin.
"The transport of the singas compressor, process pumps, manual
valves, and the ESDV and MOV valves is about to commence, and these components
will soon be on their way to the project's site," he said in a statement
on Tuesday.
Ansari also confirmed that the methanol unit’s control system,
designed and manufactured by well-known international suppliers, has passed
factory testing and will be shipped to Iran this week. Additionally, the
largest compressor for the methanol unit, the singas compressor, is in the
final stages of assembly in China and will undergo performance tests before
being shipped.
He noted that 10 process pumps for the methanol unit, also
manufactured in China, are currently undergoing inspections and will be
dispatched shortly. "The first batch of manual valves has passed the
required tests and is being packed for transport to Iran," Ansari added.
Ansari further mentioned that the electric MOV and ESDV valves have
completed their factory tests, and discussions regarding their shipment are
ongoing. Additionally, all analyzers for the Badr Shargh plant have been
manufactured domestically, with 80% already delivered to the project site, and
the remainder currently undergoing performance tests.
Phase One of the Badr Shargh Petrochemical Complex is being developed
in the Makran Petrochemical Zone in Chabahar. Once operational, the plant is
expected to produce 1,650,000 tons of methanol annually for downstream
applications.
