The company has seen a 30% increase in production this year,
contributing to both domestic supply and export growth, Mohaghegh said at the
18th IranPlast International Exhibition.
Mohaghegh emphasized the need for support from the banking system, the
Ministry of Health, and customs authorities to further increase production
capacity. He highlighted that some raw materials, such as silicone, must be
imported, and customs delays have impacted production timelines. Despite these
challenges, Teb Polymer Asia is committed to strengthening the value chain by
sourcing raw materials domestically.
The CEO pointed out that energy imbalances, especially power outages,
have posed challenges for the downstream petrochemical sector this year, but he
expressed hope that solutions will be implemented to ensure stable production.
He also acknowledged the role of industry associations, such as the Iran
Polymer Association, in advocating for the removal of production barriers.
Teb Polymer Asia's product lineup, including packaging materials,
mother-and-child products, and hygiene items, is positioned to compete with
European counterparts, Mohaghegh stated. The company's operations in Shahrud
have created significant local employment.
Reflecting on the IranPlast exhibition, Mohaghegh noted that, in
addition to meeting domestic demand, the company received new export inquiries
from various countries. Teb Polymer Asia sources 80% of its raw materials from
domestic petrochemical complexes through commodity exchanges, and the provision
of petrochemical products on credit has enabled downstream industries to
operate with greater confidence.
