The inaugural meeting of the Strategic Council of Petrochemical
Companies in the Makran region was convened with the presence of the Deputy
Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company.
Morteza Shahmirzaei emphasized that one of the strategic goals of the
National Petrochemical Company is to create shared value with society through
the petrochemical industry. He noted, "Fulfilling social responsibilities
not only does not increase the costs of petrochemical companies but also
provides the groundwork for sustainable development, long-term profitability,
and higher efficiency."
He added, "Social responsibilities in the petrochemical industry
are a profitable and successful investment," stressing the need to
simultaneously develop the surrounding environments and local communities in
areas where the petrochemical industry is expanding and accelerating the
implementation of various projects.
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company highlighted the
importance of implementing the directives of the Supreme Leader to foster hope
in society. He stated, "Fulfilling social responsibilities by the pioneers
of the petrochemical industry reflects the level of balanced and sustainable
development in the country."
He further emphasized that in regions with active industrial
complexes, social initiatives should aim to provide the community with various
infrastructure facilities, healthcare, cultural, educational, and sports
services so that the people of that community feel ownership of the industrial
complex.
