During the inauguration ceremony of the
operational implementation of the Torbat -Heidarieh Petrochemical Plan,
coinciding with Petrochemical Industry Day, Shahmirzayi highlighted the
significance of completing the value chain and generating added value,
strengthening the nation's economic resilience. He emphasized the ministry's
concentration in the thirteenth government term, emphasizing the production of
high-value end-products, securing domestic market needs, and bolstering export
initiatives.
The Deputy Petroleum Minister pointed out that
upon the Torbat-Heidarieh Petrochemical Plan's operation, it would cater to the
needed polystyrene demand of the eastern and northern neighbors. He added that
the Torbat -Heidarieh Petrochemical Plan had been designed by the province's
elites and coined its resulting product as an "all-purpose plastic."
Shahmirzayi highlighted one of the plan's
features, its environmental friendliness coupled with low water and gas
consumption, defining it as a pioneering initiative.
Regarding the commencement of the operational
phase of the Polystyrene Plan in Torbat -Heidarieh, Shahmirzayi remarked that
it marked a significant stride within the Khorasan province. He outlined that
following the plan's launch, two other crucial products would be developed to
complete the production chain.
Prior to this ceremony, Morteza Shahmirzayi, the
Deputy Petroleum Minister and NPC CEO, paid respects to the esteemed martyrs of
the Iran-Iraq War by visiting the graves of the anonymous martyrs of the
defense period.
