administration has ushered in a fresh start for this petrochemical complex.
Expressing gratitude to the honorable representatives of Golestan
Province in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the governor, and the judiciary
chief, Owji specifically acknowledged Engineer Shahmirzai, the CEO of the
National Petrochemical Company, for his commitment to resolving challenges in
the development path of Golestan Petrochemical Plant. Shahmirzai has pledged to

in the province, Owji highlighted the intended annual production of 1.1 million
tons of ammonia and urea, involving an investment of approximately $700 million
or 35 trillion Iranian rials.

Plant, citing its favorable infrastructure, proximity to the free trade zone,
access to gas feedstock, and adjacency to the railway line for product
transportation. He credited the joint efforts of the Ministry of Petroleum and
the National Petrochemical Company, along with the investment by Persian Gulf
Petrochemical Industries Holding Company, for the projected operational
commencement of Golestan Petrochemicals within 3.5 years.
Elaborating on the socioeconomic impact, Owji indicated that over 1500
employment opportunities would arise in the province due to this project.
According to outlined plans, a portion of the produced output will serve local
demands within the province, while another segment is earmarked for export.
Owji assured the esteemed residents of Golestan Province, stating,
"The establishment of this petrochemical facility in the province will
lead to significant transformations in both the province and its neighboring
regions."
