matters in this industry.
Morteza Shahmirzaei, speaking at the first Process Safety Conference
in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, pointed out that with
sustainable petrochemical industry production, the feedstock for thousands of
small and large industries in the country is provided.
He added that with the efforts of HSE (Health, Safety, and
Environment) units in creating a safe environment, the wheels of production,
industry, and the country's economy will be set in motion in all sectors.
He stated, "The oil industry has always been a cradle for
fostering knowledge in safety, environmental, and health domains."
The Deputy Minister of Petroleum and NPC CEO stressed the importance
of adhering to safety standards and using advanced standard equipment in the
industry.
He further stated that safety principles should not be sacrificed for
economic considerations in the industry.
Emphasizing the importance of holding such conferences each year, he
stated that, given the importance of process safety, these conferences should
be held annually, and labor committees should be active in this regard.

as well as more than 250 licenses, are used in the petrochemical industry.

such as the Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, special attention should
be paid to the performance of units in the field of process safety.
He stated that completing the value chain is the main mission and
strategy of the petrochemical industry. In this regard, indigenizing all products,
equipment, chemical materials, catalysts, and technical knowledge are the main
goals, and all the necessary catalysts for the industry will be domesticated by
the end of the thirteenth government's term.
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company concluded by emphasizing
