TEHRAN (NIPNA) - The Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (PRTC), in the esteemed presence of NPC CEO Morteza Shahmirzaei, marked a momentous occasion on the third day of the 17th IranPlast International Exhibition by signing six crucial Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and contracts with domestic enterprises.

Among the highlights of these agreements are two contracts that grant licenses for the production of propylene from methanol, boasting a combined capacity of 120,000 tons per year, and the production of polypropylene with an equivalent capacity. Additionally, three MoUs were sealed to facilitate the transfer of technical expertise and Process Design Packages (PDP) for two polypropylene production units using propane as a feedstock, with a total capacity of 600,000 tons per year. The collaboration extends to the development of co-precipitation catalysts, including methanation, low-temperature shift, and methanol synthesis, as well as the production and testing of new catalysts for polypropylene manufacturing. A critical agreement was also reached for the development, enhancement, and formal registration of technical knowledge related to aromatics production processes.

The 17th International IranPlast Exhibition, inaugurated on Sunday with a resolute focus on nurturing the value chain, bolstering domestic production, and invigorating national construction endeavors, is slated to continue for four insightful days.

These strategic alliances underscore NPC-RT's commitment to advancing Iran's petrochemical landscape, fostering innovation, and strengthening domestic capabilities through cooperative ventures with domestic partners.
