Saudi Ambassador Emphasizes Readiness for Petchem Collaboration with Iran

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The Saudi Ambassador to Iran has stressed the existence of common ground for collaboration between Iran's petrochemical industry and Saudi Arabia, expressing readiness to expand cooperation in Iran's petrochemical sector.

Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, the Saudi Ambassador to Iran, visited the 17th IranPlast International Exhibition on Tuesday, during its second day, and was briefed on the latest achievements of Iran's petrochemical industry.

During his visit to the booth of the National Petrochemical Company, Ambassador Al-Anzi held discussions with the company's executives and highlighted the capabilities of Iran's petrochemical industry.

He stated, "There are common areas for cooperation between SABIC [Saudi Basic Industries Corporation] and Iranian petrochemical companies, and we hope to soon witness meetings and sessions between Iran and Saudi Arabia in the petrochemical industry, with the coordination of the National Petrochemical Company."

The Saudi Ambassador further emphasized, "Iran has made considerable progress in modern knowledge and technologies in the petrochemical industry, and we are interested in cooperation."

According to the report, during this meeting, Hassan Abbaszadeh, the Director of Planning and Development, Ahmad Shakouri, the Director of Projects, and Hossein Alimorad, the Head of International Affairs at the National Petrochemical Company, elaborated on the latest developments and the current status of Iran's petrochemical industry.

The 17th IranPlast International Exhibition, which commenced on September 17th and runs until September 20th at Tehran's permanent international exhibition grounds, is focused on enhancing the value chain, supporting domestic production, and promoting local manufacturing. The exhibition provides a significant platform for fostering international partnerships and expanding Iran's presence in the global petrochemical market.
