On the eve of the 17th
International IranPlast Exhibition, Shahmirzai underscored the importance of
balanced and sustainable development of the petrochemical industry in the
country's economy. He stated that the development of complementary industries
aligned with the upstream petrochemical sector plays a pivotal role in
achieving self-sufficiency, wealth creation, and economic growth for the
nation.
Shahmirzai further
elaborated that the National Petrochemical Company is determined to leverage
all domestic capabilities alongside expanding energy diplomacy and enhancing
foreign relations within the 13th Government to realize the value
chain completion strategy of the petrochemical industry.
The CEO of the National
Petrochemical Company continued, stating that Iran's increased cooperation with
like-minded neighboring countries and the expansion of its petrochemical
product markets demonstrate the country's enhanced capabilities in the
petrochemical industry, particularly in polymer industries, both regionally and
globally.
He emphasized that the
National Petrochemical Company has devised a comprehensive plan to maximize the
opportunities created during the 17th International IranPlast Exhibition for
the development of the petrochemical industry. He added that besides the
participation of 210 foreign companies and coordinating visits from over 220
foreign delegates, including officials, traders, and foreign investors to the
exhibition, Iran's ambassadors in 18 countries will also attend the official
opening ceremony of IranPlast 17th edition.
The Deputy Minister of
Petroleum further elaborated that diplomats, by identifying the capacities and
capabilities of polymer and complementary industries at this exhibition, play a
significant role in creating the necessary foundations for expanding foreign relations
and target markets for Iran's petrochemical industry.
The 17th International
IranPlast Exhibition, with a focus on value chain completion, support for
domestic production, and promoting domestic manufacturing, will commence from
tomorrow, Sunday, September 17, 2023. It will run for four days in the
permanent venue of Tehran's international exhibitions, aiming to foster Iran's
petrochemical industry and national production.
