According to the president, Iran has set a 40-year-old record by
registering more than $50 billion dollars in exports since the beginning of his
administration in August 2021. He attributed this achievement to the efforts of
Iranian economic activists and businessmen who have overcome the challenges of
sanctions and the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also announced the activation of Iran's commercial offices in other
countries to better introduce the scientific and economic capabilities of the
Islamic Republic of Iran. He said that one of the main tasks of these offices
is to facilitate trade relations between Iranian and foreign entrepreneurs.
The president emphasized that Iran has not tied its economic growth
and production to political negotiations with the West over its nuclear
program. He said that Iran has followed the negotiation from a position of
honor and dignity, while the US has violated its commitments and pulled out of the
nuclear deal.
He added that Iran has made significant progress in various fields of
science and technology, such as health, medicine, steel, petrochemicals,
defense, and nuclear industries. He said that Iran's products can compete with
those of other countries in the region and the world.
The Iranian president expressed hope that the Iran Expo 2023
exhibition would create a good opportunity for mutual understanding and
cooperation between Iranian and foreign economic actors. He also urged all
ministries and agencies to support exports and production in the country.
The Iran Expo 2023 exhibition is one of the largest trade events in
the Middle East, aiming to create global export markets for Iranian goods and
services, especially those with more added value and knowledge-based. The
exhibition also hosts 70 business and government delegations consisting of more
than 1,200 businessmen and government officials from all over the world.
