MOP Outstanding in Implementation of Free Access to Information Act

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The Ministry of Petroleum has been recognized for its exceptional implementation of the "Publication and Free Access to Information" Act, according to a report released by the General Department of Public Relations.

The report covers the calendar year of 1401, which ended on March 20, and showcases the Ministry and its subsidiaries' performance by providing quantitative statistics and visual models.

The report, available at www.iranfoia.ir, reveals that the Ministry of Petroleum is among the 2066 member organizations of the Information Release and Free Access System, and is one of the top 10 organizations with the most requests.

In 1401, the headquarters of the Ministry of Petroleum alone received 150 information requests and responded to all 751 requests from its 67 main and subsidiary companies within the legal response time limit of 10 days.

The Ministry's impressive response time of 2 days is the best among the system's member institutions and 19 ministries, while the average response time of the oil industry complex to citizens was 7 working days in 1401.

Additionally, the headquarters of the Ministry of Petroleum received only 7 complaints, all of which were addressed and resolved satisfactorily.

Citizen satisfaction with the Ministry's responses was high, with 95% expressing satisfaction, ranking the Ministry in the first position among the 380 active institutions identified in the system of free access to information.

The Ministry of Petroleum and its subsidiaries have demonstrated their commitment to transparency and accountability by providing timely and comprehensive responses to information requests and addressing citizen complaints effectively.

The Ministry's exceptional performance in implementing the "Publication and Free Access to Information" Act sets a positive example for other organizations to follow.
