Speaking in a ceremony to start construction of the project in
Assaluyeh, southern Iran, Hamidreza Khalili said the annual feedstock of the
unit will be 600,000 tons/year of propane supplied from Parsian Sepehr Refining
Company to produce 300,000 tons of polypropylene, 140,000 tons of acrylic acid,
and 180,000 tons of superabsorbent per year.
He said that the PDH/PP project of Parsian Sepehar Refinery will be
built on a 31-hectare land in the Pars I site of Assaluyeh, and added: “This
project will be implemented with an investment of $1.2 billion.”
The CEO of Tadbir Energy Development Group continued: “The PDH/PP
project of Parsian Sepehr Refinery will create employment for up to 5,000 people
during its implementation, and about 500 people directly and 2,000 people
indirectly during the operation period.”
