According to the investment and development
group of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), Pejman
Asadi, the CEO of Urmia Petrochemical Plant, stated: “In June of this year, the
sulfuric acid unit was taken out of service for overhaul, and after 26 days of
unremitting efforts by various working groups, it was implemented successfully using
domestic production capacity and cooperation with domestic manufacturers and
component makers.”
He added: "Maintaining production,
optimizing capacity and solving problems and bottlenecks of the unit was the
basis of decisions and activities planned for this operation, which with the
diligent efforts of technical and specialized groups, all the goals have been
achieved."
The CEO of Urmia Petrochemical Plant further said
that the main purpose of the overhaul is to inject new blood into the veins of
equipment and devices in order to increase production with a higher level of
safety, productivity and quality.
