During a visit to the southwestern province
of Khuzestan, Mr. Owji learned about the latest energy-related developments in
the energy capital of the country, Khuzestan.
He said major petrochemical plants are to be
launched in the provinces with the aim of ensuring balanced development in the
region.
Also in a radio interview, Owji had said that
70% of the country’s petrochemical output is exported and only 30% is consumed
domestically which needs to be revised.
He also said that under the Raisi
administration special focus has been given to the balanced development of the petrochemical
industry.
