said: "With such an approach, we are witnessing currency savings in this
field and we are moving towards self-sufficiency with the efforts of Iranian
researchers."
Speaking to NIPNA,
he said that according to forecasts, localization of catalysts in the
petrochemical industry will increase significantly by the end of the current Iranian
calendar year which began on March 21.
He said that
PRTC along with other companies are seriously eliminating the need for the
import of foreign catalysts in the petrochemical industry, and this will lead
to a lot of hard currency savings.
He added:
"The petrochemical industry is one of the main pillars of the national
economy.”
A variety of
catalysts are used in the petrochemical industry, but in recent years,
fortunately, several types have been localized, and given that the country's
technical knowledge in the field of catalyst manufacturing has become
localized, cooperation between the administration and the private sector can be
a path to self-sufficiency.
