Speaking to NIPNA, on the sidelines of the 14th Iran
Plant International Exhibition, Farhad Tahmasebi said the industry could transform
Iran's economy and industry, saying the parliament is ready to review and
approve plans and bills that are formulated with expert opinion in the
development of the petrochemical industry.
The representative of Estahban, Neyriz and Bakhtegan people
in the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: “The Parliament has always supported
the petrochemical industry and this exhibition showed that the development of
this value-added industry in all dimensions is accelerating.”
He pointed out that in the conditions of sanctions, the
development of the upstream and downstream petrochemical industry continued in
earnest, adding: "Due to the existence of vast feedstock resources in the
country, petrochemicals can transform Iran's economy and industry."
The 14th Iran Plast Exhibition with the slogan of "Global
Business" started on Sunday, February 7, at the permanent fairground of
Tehran and ended on February 10.
