Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of 14th Iran
Plast Exhibition here in Tehran on Sunday, the official said the petrochemical
industry was faced with the sanctions in its second and third leaps, adding the
fourth leap will begin under the same conditions.
He added three large complexes have been defined in
Assaluyeh, southern Iran, saying: “We have become accustomed to living under
the sanctions."
The official further said that Iran is currently supplying
1,040 million cubic meters of natural gas which can be consumed as petrochemical
feedstock.
The 14th Iran Plast exhibition is running with the slogan
of "global business."
The event kicked off on Sunday at the Tehran international
fairgrounds. It will run until February 10.
