TEHRAN (NIPNA) – An Iranian knowledge-based company (KBC) domestically developed over 30 types of catalysts used for production of items in the petrochemical, refining and steel industries.

Sarv Oil and Gas Company, a knowledge-based Iranian firm, has so far managed to produce and localize various types of catalysts, including the ones used for production of urea, ammonia, methanol and hydrogen in the petrochemical and refining industries, as well as catalysts used in the steel industry.

Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery Complex, as the third largest refinery in Iran that supplies 20% of the country's energy, has used an Iranian catalyst for the first time in the overhaul of its hydrogen production unit.

Primary reforming catalyst is known as the first localized catalyst in the refining and petrochemical industries, which was localized by Sarv Oil and Gas Company.
