Addressing a press conference on Tuesday,
Seyed Reza Qasemi Shahri said the sanctions had proved to be a blessing for his
company, stating the plant had been able to localize the technical savvy for production
of various items and achieve self-sufficiency in diverse fields from
manufacturing mechanical parts to production of certain chemicals, etc., which
have created jobs in the country.
This year, Tondguyan Petrochemical
Company has not had the troubles it often had for feedstock supply in the
previous years, he said, adding the company is quoted in the stock market for
all the polyethylene terephthalate chain items.
The CEO of Tondguyan Petrochemical
Company added that the company fully supplied the local market with its output
and had taking steps for exporting it items.
Qasemi Shahri said the company
also sold 95% of its output on the local market this year, adding that 470,000
tons of the company’s output was sold domestically this year.
Last year the company’s output hit
1.03 million tons which is expected to grow dramatically this year.
